I've been looking for "flat" cards on loads of blogs and found my favourites on Vicky's blog . Mine started out the same way - an aperture inked and then stamped (I found the easiest way to ink was to use a "mop" brush). I made a mess of the edges though, so inked in a border and then decided to ink in the area around the aperture. I made vellum butterflies and a bee - and there the flat card idea disappeared as I was determined to use the Stampin Up Rich Razzleberry striped grosgrain ribbon. The card was for my cousin's birthday, so I went to the post office myself - to save being grumped at by my husband because it didn't fit the normal 1st class dimensions. The next one will be cheaper to post ..... maybe....!
Great card, the colour is so yummy! I love the ribbon you have used too. xx
ReplyDeleteHi Helen, congratulations on the new blog - it looks fab! I'm so pleased to think I might have inspired you and I love your card. The ribbon makes it very special so I'm sure it was worth the extra postage and I bet your cousin was delighted! Vx
